| This guide will help install Metabase connector and run manually |
Metabase

OpenMetadata is built using Java, DropWizard, Jetty, and MySQL.
- Python 3.7 or above {% endhint %}
Install from PyPI

pip install 'openmetadata-ingestion[metabase]'

Run Manually
metadata ingest -c ./examples/workflows/metabase.json

- username - pass the Metabase Client ID.
- password - the password for the Metabase Client Secret.
- host_port - Hostname and Port number where the service is being initialized.
- service_name - Service Name for this Metabase cluster. If you added the Metabase cluster through OpenMetadata UI, make sure the service name matches the same.
- filter_pattern - It contains includes, excludes options to choose which pattern of datasets you want to ingest into OpenMetadata.
Publish to OpenMetadata
Below is the configuration to publish Metabase data into the OpenMetadata service.
Add metadata-rest sink along with metadata-server config
